Man vs Plane: South Africa Route Launch

What we did:

South African rugby player Bryan Habana famously raced a cheetah in 2007 and won. Now he faces a new challenge: To beat British Airways’ A380 aircraft to the finish line. With over 1,000,000 views in less than 24 hours, Man vs Plane quickly became British Airways’ most successful YouTube video of all time, attracting international acclaim across Facebook, Twitter & global news channels. A Big British Flashmob: Moscow Route Launch

What we did:

Strategically timed ahead of easyJet’s entry in to the russian market, British Airways and Visit Britain collaborated to launch ‘The Big British Invite’ in order to encourage travel to Great Britain. Leveraging the international theme ‘Great Britain. You’re invited’, the campaign sought to offer leisure and business travelers from Russia a personal invitation to visit Great Britain and all that it has to offer. We placed a giant Union Jack suitcase in the middle of Moscow’s largest shopping centre and stunned passers by, as iconic british characters including the Queen and James Bond staged an unsuspected flashmob.

BA Balloon: Bergen Route Launch

What we did:

To mark the launch of British Airways’ twice daily service to Bergen, BA placed a full-size hot air balloon in Bergen’s city centre. We produced a heart-warming destination marketing film featuring interviews with crew and members of the public.

Perfect Days: Christmas in London

What we did:

As part of British Airways’ Perfect Day series, we follow Mark and Lucy, as they share with us their Perfect Winters Day in London. The film was featured on the BA homepage globally and attracted more than 10,000 views in 1 week.

Leona Lewis “Gig on the Wing”: Hong Kong Route Launch

What we did:

To celebrate the inaugural A380 flight from London to Hong Kong, X Factor winner Leona Lewis performed in front of a private audience from the wing of the very A380 that flew here there.

Hong Kong Highlights

What we did:

To celebrate the best of British, Alice Temperley staged a fashion show, the Langham provided cocktails and canapes and Leona Lewis performed a “Gig on the Wing” of British Airways’ brand new A380.

Man vs Plane II: Accept the Challenge

What we did:

Following on from the success of Man vs Plane, Bryan Habana challenged members of the public who had doubted him to accept the challenge and prove that they could do better. The competition was launched across all social media platforms and five lucky winners were flown to South Africa to compete.
